Author Name Atulya and Dr.Avantika S Bamne Abstract An important vessel known as the popliteal artery can be found in the posterior compartment of the lower limb. After travelling through the adductor hiatus and entering the popliteal fossa, the femoral artery continues in this direction as it continues its journey to the popliteal fossa. The popliteal artery is the vessel that is responsible for supplying blood to the structures that are located in the back of the knee joint as well as the muscles that are located in the calf.
