For space travel and the insertion of satellites into planetary orbits, rocket propulsion is essential. Military applications use it extensively as well. Jet propulsion in the category of rocket propulsion creates thrust by ejecting burning propellant. This paper discusses different rocket propulsion techniques for space travel.
