Abstract

According to inclusive education, all students will participate in the primary stream of instruction, regardless of their skills or deficiencies. Through inclusive education, teachers, students, and other staff members can all experience a sense of community. Regardless of social group, caste, class, gender, or (dis-)ability, inclusive education is for everyone. Around the world, 120 million kids do not attend elementary school. According to MHRD data given by the World Bank, there are an estimated 30 million children in India who are not enrolled in school. Due to factors like caste, poverty, gender, or impairments, many of these children are at a disadvantage. Although numerous educational initiatives have been made to include these formerly excluded youngsters, people with impairments are frequently disregarded, emphasizing their invisible status in a society with fixed categories. The concept of inclusive education is unquestionably very pertinent to our current situation because disparities in ability, gender, race, and religion are occasionally perceived as threats rather than sources of variety and diversity. The goal of inclusive education is to make schools better overall so that they can meet the educational needs of all students. The Salamanca, Spain, World Conference on Special Needs Education in 1994, which highlighted that schools should accommodate all students regardless of their physical, intellectual, social, emotional, linguistic, or other disabilities, served as the primary source of support for inclusive education. In other words, inclusive education is a strategy that guarantees the presence, involvement, and success of each student. Examining the difficulties and potential outcomes of inclusive education in India is the purpose of this essay. The study examines the difficulties and limitations that the concerned parties must deal with. The ramifications for future inclusive education for children in India are then discussed.
