It empowers individuals and couples to determine the number and spacing of their children, contributing to healthier families, economic prosperity, and societal well-being. The benefits of family planning extend beyond individual health, influencing broader aspects of development such as education, gender equality, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. Despite global efforts, family planning utilization remains limited in many regions, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. This article explores the importance of family planning for sustainable development, identifies barriers to its utilization, and recommends strategies to enhance access and acceptance.
