Abstract

Employee retention is a crucial concern for organizations operating in the hospitality industry, where turnover rates often exceed those of other sectors. This theoretical research paper explores employee retention strategies in the context of the hospitality industry, drawing on secondary data from the case study of Sunrise Hotel, a luxury hotel in India. The paper employs a theoretical analysis approach, integrating existing literature and empirical evidence to examine key factors influencing employee retention and their implications for organizational performance. Theoretical frameworks such as the psychological contract theory, social exchange theory, and expectancy theory are utilized to understand the mechanisms underlying employee retention strategies. The analysis focuses on factors such as compensation and benefits, training and development, career advancement opportunities, work-life balance initiatives, employee recognition, and organizational culture.
