According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the global prevalence of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents aged 5–19 has risen dramatically from just 4% in 1975 to over 18% in 2016. This sharp increase is alarming because obesity not only affects a child’s physical health but also has far-reaching consequences on their psychological and emotional well-being.
