Author Name Kamalika Bhattacharya and Dr Rupaali Andaluri Thakur Abstract This literature review examines how ethnic parenting styles affect teenagers' mental health and academic performance. Teenager academic achievement and mental health were significantly impacted by parental behavior, according to the literature review. Authoritative parenting has been shown to be most successful when it includes sensitive care, acceptable communication, an emphasis on independence and accomplishments, moderate control, and a low degree of severity. Furthermore, societal norms as well as a variety of ethnic backgrounds had an impact on parenting styles among teenagers.
