Fever, rashes, and eschar are examples of common symptoms that need to be confirmed by testing. Blood Cancer Patients with blood cancer who are experiencing acute febrile sickness should have a differential diagnosis that includes pneumonia and/or acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
